The S.U.A.I.O (information and vocational counselling service) is a place where you can receive personalised advice: students are welcomed by our consultants and, on appointment, by professional vocational counsellors. This is a centre where documents concerning studies, competitive exams, job opportunities and the labour market can be found. This service is available in both the Medical Faculty (at the training centre) and the Faculty of Legal, Political and Social Sciences (Place Déliot). A qualified staff is here to welcome, inform and advise students.
Welcoming and informing students are daily missions of the SUAIO.
The SUAIO welcomes secondary school pupils and current students, as well as adults on continuing training, etc. This is done in its offices, during conventions (such as Student day) and in the various faculties (at the beginning of the academic year or on open days, etc.).
The SUAIO staff, using comprehensive documentation resources, informs its public about higher education studies, careers, examinations for entry into the civil service, hospital or territorial jobs and on other job opportunities.
Directing or redirecting your studies
Directing or redirecting your studies is a fundamental element of your training and often the deciding factor of success or failure in studies and professional life.
Together with the student, we will determine the appropriate degree course, based on his/her skills and motivations while, of course, taking into consideration the labour market and its evolution.
Students have the opportunity to meet with a vocational counsellor and trained psychologist in order to define their education and/or professional projects and to clarify their objectives.
The SUAIO organises information sessions for first year students on how to change to a different course (at the end of the 1st semester and at the end of the first year).
In collaboration with and in addition to the university’s Department of Traineeships and Job Offers, the SUAIO prepares students to explore the labour market, to find out about the career openings offered by their training and, through collective or individual workshops, to define their objectives, what they have to offer and their professional goals.
Publications
The SUAIO collects, employs and develops all documents on post-baccalauréat courses and their carer openings, on job opportunities and on professional integration.
